Skye is a gorgeous 2 year old Pitbull Terrier. She was abandoned by her family in a high kill shelter in Southern CA because they were moving. Skye is a 65 pound lap dog, she loves to snuggle, give kisses, chase butterflies, play fetch and go on long walks or runs (she would be a great running partner).

Skye is dog selective which means she likes some dogs and not others so she would probably be best as an only pet. She is very sweet, but large and active so we recommend no children younger than 10 years old. No cats. Skye spent a very long time in the shelter and is still young so she will need some training.

Skye is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and ready for her forever home. If you are interested in meeting Skye or would like to find out more about her, please contact Adrienne at a_ledden@yahoo.com

About Grateful Dogs Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Grateful Dogs Rescue was founded in 1990; its mission is to rescue dogs not made available for adoption at San Francisco Animal Care and Control and other local shelters through no fault of their own. Rather than letting these dogs be euthanized, Grateful Dogs saves as many as possible by fostering these dogs until a loving home is found.

Grateful Dogs Rescue is always in need of new foster homes!  You can make a difference by fostering. The number of dogs we can save is dependent on having foster parents to care for them until they find their forever homes.

Grateful Dogs Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to rescuing, fostering and rehoming dogs in the San Francisco Bay Area. Grateful Dogs Rescue is a registered 501-(c) (3) non-profit organization (TIN 94-3251570). All donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated. Come Meet Our Pets...

Our dogs live in nurturing foster homes provided by volunteers. If you are interested in adopting one of our Grateful dogs, please complete our adoption application. One of our volunteers will get back to you.

Our Adoption Process...

The Grateful Dogs Rescue adoption procedure is designed to find a good match between the dog and adopter. Our goal is a happy human and happy dog in a "forever home." The adoption procedure includes an application, interview, home inspection, and an adoption fee. The adoption fee helps to cover spay/neuter, shots and other medical care given before the dog is made available for adoption.
