Dixie's Story...
Dixie is a 10-12 month old Jack Russel mix. She weighs less than 20lbs and we anticipate her to stay about this size. Dixie has an interesting mask on her face that gives her a one of a kid look. She is great with other dogs and kids. She is super perky and likes to play. There is so much 'Jack' in this girl. She has great potential for learning tricks and practicing agility trials. We are not underestimating all of her abilities and potential. She is spayed and ready for adoption. If you would like to meet her or know more about her please email haltrescue@gmail.com and we will try to make a match

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Bakersfield Jack Russell Terrier/Parson Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Parson Russell Terrier for sale in Bakersfield, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Parson Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Bakersfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bakersfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bakersfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Parson Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Parson Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bakersfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
