Meet Louie! This handsome 9 month old boy is looking for his forever home! He was surrendered to a shelter because his owner was moving and unable to take Fido with him.. He is good with dogs. He lived with two dogs and in the shelter did well with them too! He was cat tested in the shelter. When the cat swatted at him he cried and ran away! Poor boy! He will be fostered in a home with cats so we will know for sure how he is once he is comfortable. Based on his initial reaction we do not anticipate a problem! Fido is a sweet sweet boy but is still a puppy so he will need a family who is willing to get him proper exercise. He is arriving with Paws n'Time tomorrow, stay tuned for an up date on this handsome boy!
UPDATE: 8/28/16 Louie is settling in very well! He walks amazing on the leash. He is very affectionate and sweet. He is getting a refresher course in some manners but overall is showing us he is a sweet boy who would make some family very lucky!

UPDATE 9/4/16 Louie's foster mom can not get over how happy this boy is. Everything simply makes him happy. He is definitely a glass half full kind of guy! His foster mom says he is very affectionate! He loves to snuggle with her and his fur-sister. He is crated trained and house broken. In fact, despite only being shown the bell 4 times he has been doing very well with ringing it to go outside! They are currently working on basic manners. This boy doesn't seem to know what toys are but is quickly learning squeak toys are super fun! He still isn't sure what a ball is and just watches it roll by.
Remember earlier when we talked about how happy he is? Well, he loves everyone and everything so much but doesn't realize there is a respectful way to show that love! He is so smart though and with consistency he is very quickly learning! He has yet to meet a stranger. He loves you immediately. He is great with children. He loves them too! However, he is unaware of his size and may e best suited for a house with children 5 and over so he does not accidentally knock them over. He has been completely fine with the two toddles in the foster home but they are very dog savvy and have been around large dogs for years.

You must be a Home Owner to be considered as a Qualified Applicant to Adopt this dog. Sadly, due to the unfair discrimination this breed receives, many landlords will not allow this breed of dog. While your current landlord might, your next may not. Paws n'Time is focused on placing this dog in a home where the Adopter's will not be faced with the decision of their home or their dog. Thank you for your understanding
We require an application to be completed prior to meeting our foster animals. All of our dogs are fostered within private homes, so visitations are scheduled. Standard adoption fee is $250

About Paws n'Time Canine Rescue, inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Our Mission Statement

Paws n’Time Canine Rescue operates as a not for profit company focused on the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of dogs. Keeping our focus on our community, we aim to educate and assist current owners with the health and welfare of their animals, enabling them to keep their pets through hard times. Our rescue financially assists struggling families by providing standard vaccinations and a nutrient-rich, quality food for their animals.

If an owner must surrender their pet, Paws n’Time Canine Rescue offers a network of temporary foster homes to care for the dog until a loving family adopts. In addition, these services are extended to local strays and dogs housed in high-kill shelters.

We believe that a large part of reducing the volume of dogs currently located in shelters is prevention. As such, we promote spaying and neutering of all pets. Paws n’Time Canine Rescue offers sponsorship to animals for this surgery with the hope of reducing the chance of puppies being born that are unwanted, without proper care or love waiting for them.

Paws n’Time Canine Rescue strives to promote the human/animal bond as one that is mutually supportive, responsible, enduring and important to the well being of all family members - owners and pets alike.
