A - DELILAH's Story...
Hi, there! My name is DELILAH. What’s yours? Nice to meet ya!

Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK?

Wanna hear more about me? OK, here goes! I am a Boxer/Pittie mix. My wonderful fosters say that I am about 1-year old. I’m just a baby, really! I weigh about 50 pounds. Perfect, huh? I have been spayed, microchipped and have all of my vaccines up-to-date so I’m ready to leave to join you in my new home! I can’t wait!

Can you stand hearing more good things about me? OK, here goes. I overhead my foster mom bragging on me. Know what she said? Well, she said that I am a very smart and very social girl. I love adults and kids. Great, right? Those 2-legged creatures also say that I am beautiful! It must be true because they smile and love on me a lot when they tell me how beautiful I am.

I love to play and I especially love to play fetch. If you don’t know that game, I can teach ya! OK? Want me to? I also love to play with toys. I’m an all-round good girl! Get this! I am also crate-trained and obedience-trained. I have great recall so I can learn just about anything, but no math, please! I like playing with other dogs but I can be exuberant because it’s such fun to play! I LOVE to run. I’d be a great jogging, running and hiking partner. What do ya say, huh?

I need a person or family that can offer me lots of exercise, structure and consistency. I hope that’s YOU!

My foster family loves me SO much that they only want me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below.

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $600 and includes my vetting, spaying, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting.) Watch this segment from the TODAY show:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

A - DELILAH, a Portland Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
