Our sweet boy from BARC (Houston Pound) who suffered significant and gruesome injuries has healed and is doing great. After the vets had a chance to get him cleaned up and worked on, they discovered that he has a dislocated hip as well. It looks more like he was dragged by a car or something over gravel/rocks at this point due to the injuries. So, he will undergo surgery for his hip the 3rd week of December. After his recovery from that, he will be as good as new and ready for a forever home!
Baker is super sweet and gentle! He loves looking out the window and watching people and dogs walking in the neighborhood at his foster's home. He's been wagging his tail a ton -- he's in very good spirits and we can tell how thankful he is to be somewhere safe.
This great boy would make a great addition to any family. He is so well-behaved and calm. He does great with kiddos. He is great with other dogs too. He's about 2-3 years old and a Pointer Mix.
Baker is currently heartworm positive (not contagious) but please don't let that keep you from meeting him. Scout's Honor is treating him through the "slow-kill" method of treatment and we would be more than happy to discuss it with you.
