Splash's Story...

Hello!  My name is Splash or Rex!  I am a handsome, gentle and sweet 18 month old male Pitbull.  I was abandoned by my owner in the country.  I get along with dogs, no cats.   I have been assessed to be a service dog.  I was matched with a teenage boy, but due to landlord insurance policy restrictions they cannot have me as a service dog and with someone with a wheelchair (but has cats). I know most obediance commands and will lie next to your feet.  I walk pretty nice on a leash, but my trainer is polishing that up.  I know unload and load  commands.   I am house trained and crate trained.  I would be a great PTSD dog for someone that needs a calm and loving dog.  I do bond to women and older children quickly.  I will need daily walks.  I have to be adopted to someone without breed restrictions and willing to have me for 15 + years.

This   is a courtesay post for the Helotes Humane Society.   For information on how to adopt me, please contact my foster parents at L&S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Splash, a Olympia American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Olympia, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Olympia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Olympia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Olympia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Olympia paves the way for another one to be saved.
