My name is Larry and I am the most handsome pit bull you will ever meet! I am an active boy and love to go on walks or a run every day. I just love to love and be loved... I guess you could say I am very loveable! I will rub against you like a cat and curl up right in your lap. I may be 60 lbs, but I am the best lap dog! I like to stare soulfully into your eyes before I give you lots of doggy kisses.
My foster family has 2 dogs that I live with. Sometimes they will wrestle with me, but mostly they ignore me (they are so old!). I don't like it when they won't give me their bones and toys, so I bark at them! It would be best if I were the only dog in your family. I love to play catch with a lacrosse ball, chew on bones and Kong’s and tears apart stuffed animals. If you give me a squeaky toy, I will liberate the squeaky thing in 30 seconds.
I do not like small dogs or cats. If you have squirrels or birds in your yard, I will chase them all away. Do you wonder when the mailman or UPS has delivered something? I will alert you immediately! I would prefer a household with older children. I sometimes will perform a leaping pirouette when playing and might unintentionally knock over a little one.
I am crate trained, know lots of commands and am very smart. I get super excited when it's time for my walk, but I don't pull on the leash once we're outside. I am inquisitive and have a memory like an elephant. You know that tennis ball you put on top of the refrigerator 3 days ago? I remember you put it there, so I'll just stare at the fridge for a while until you give it to me, okay?
If you are looking for a loyal, loveable companion, then I'm your man! We will have so much fun together and I promise to make you laugh every single day. I know you want to meet me. Fill out an application and let's get together!
Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.
The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.
