Barbarella was rescued pregnant from a shelter and while all her babies have found loving homes, she is still looking for hers.  She is a younger dog who is now potty trained, thanks to her foster mommy (and other foster fursilbings)! She is very affectionate with women she knows and will follow them around as they go about their day.  We think something must have happened in Barbarella's past as she is frightened of men and will bark at them, but we believe that with a patient and loving family, she will make progress and one day, will learn to trust that she will not be hurt by humans again.

Barbarella likes other dogs and loves to play with them, so an ideal home will have at least one other dog so she can feel additional security and companionship from them.  She has already made great progress under foster care, because when she came in, she was frightened of everything. We cringe when we think what she must have been through, but her foster mommy said she can do just about anything with her now.  She enjoys being pet, cuddled, and even will accept being picked up.  She has learned to trust her foster mom and will finish blossoming in a home with patience and an understanding that underneath the damage done to this innocent dog is a beautiful, loving heart who deserves a chance to know unconditional love.  She is going to be a great dog with just a little time, patience, and lots of love!  Are you her special angel?

About Tiny Loving Canines (TLC)

About Our Rescue Group...

Tiny Loving Canines operates Ventura County's first and only full-time Rescue Center, open to the public 7 days/week in Simi Valley, CA.

We have the vision of a No-Kill generation, and our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home the abandoned and neglected animals in our community. Our rescue acts as a needs-based safety net, allowing dogs maximum exposure for adoption at the county shelters, and saving their lives when they run out of time. We will do whatever it takes, within our means, to save a dogs life (unless it is illegal or immoral). TLC is proud to partner with Ventura County Animal Services in the march toward No-Kill in Ventura County!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Rescue Shop is located at 1736 Erringer on the 2nd Floor in Simi Valley, CA. We are open 7 days/week to showcase the dogs in our care. You can come visit our dogs and puppies Monday-Saturday from 12-7pm, and Sunday from 12-5pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Every dog and puppy that is adopted from TLC is spayed/neutered, brought up-to-date on vaccinations, and is microchipped. Adoptions also include a complementary wellness exam at Caring Hands Veterinary Hospital and a coupon book to use at Theresa's.

If you are interested in adopting one of our furbabies, the very first step is to complete an adoption application; this can be done either in person at our Rescue Center or online from the dog's profile. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
