Sissy is an adult AR brown dog, DOB estimated to be 7/2013. Sissy had a rough start before coming into Out of the Woods. Sissy had been shot in the neck and was injured and scared. Sissy has done well with her foster and her foster siblings. She needs to warm up to both dogs and people. Sissy is also heart worm positive and is being treated for the heart worms which we will continue after she is adopted if needed.
Sissy would do well with a canine sibling who is not overly ambitious to be in her face and is not an alpha dog. She will easily adapt but needs to be monitored and supervised for the first several days. Sissy has been with small children for a short time and did well. She was monitored the entire time. She is leery of new people but does well when boarded. Sissy is territorial in her own house and yard. She really needs someone who is patient and will allow her to come around in her time. She loves to play and does well on a leash. She rides well in the car and on hikes. She must have a privacy fenced yard when not on a leash as she can leap like a deer over in no time. Once she trust you, she will be your protector and stay by your side.
Sissy is UTD on everything, she is house trained and crate trained.
