Harper - MEET HIM's Story...
Harper is an australian shepherd mix of approx 13 months and 30 lbs. He is a very shy and timid boy and will need to learn confidence to walk on a leash. We have committed to help this boy, so he is starting a two week board and train program to gain some confidence. He gets on really well with other dogs that are larger or closer or his size and loves to run and play. He play too hard with small dogs or puppies, but he will love to play with dogs his size or larger. He does seem to be quite well house trained and will be a great dog with some patience and training.

The total adoption donation of $475 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. We also provide a coupon for a free wellness visit to the South Wilton Vet group if convenient for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harper - MEET HIM, a Norwalk Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
