Facts about Snickers

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Tortoiseshell
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 10501427
  • Hair: Short

We received an email to help a family in Mt Vernon with some cats they were feeding.  Snickers was scooped up immediately.  She did not want to be outside and she has slept like a baby since being adopter.  She LOVES to be held and curl up in your lap.  She is petite (6#), so easily fits in anyone's lap and will always appear to be a kitten.

She is guessed to be 1 year, possibly a little younger.  She has tested neg for FIV/FELV, been spayed, and has received her vaccines.

Snickers is so content to be inside it was very hard to get a good photo of her face.  She is so happy, her eyes are half closed, showing her level of comfort.  She is a must see to appreciate her beauty because the photos in this post do not do her justice!

Snickers is living at the kitty adoption center at PetSmart in Pelham Manor, NY.  If you would be interested in meeting her, please contact us so we can coordinate a volunteer to be present when you can go.  Please call Mary at 914-713-8649 (please do not call after 9 p.m.) or email us at

Thank you for wanting to save a life!

About tlc Rescue Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

tlc Rescue is a recently incorporated not-for-profit organization with pending public charity status under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

tlc Rescue was founded by three women who have actively dedicated much of their lives to ensuring that all animals (particularly cats and dogs) are not living on the streets, homeless and/or being neglected or abused. Our rescue efforts focus on Westchester County, New York, primarily in the southern end of the county.

We often work with other rescue groups and shelters, most of whom have insufficient space for all of their cats to roam freely. Our philosophy is that no cat should be caged, except when needed to address temporary medical issues. We believe that cats need room to play, lounge and interact with each other and humans in an open environment.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fees are $185 for kittens [includes any follow up vaccinations and spay/neuter at appropriate age] and $85 for teens/adults [these are adopted already fully vetted with vaccinations and spay/neuter].

We have a questionnaire and interview the potential adopter, there is a contract exchanged once the animal is adopted. We follow up in the near future once an adoption takes place to make sure the cat is doing well with it's new family.
