Slash is a sweet, mature guy wrapped in a cute little package. He is a gentle, undemanding pup. Slash loves nothing more than to look into your eyes for permission, then hop up in your lap for gentle pets, or sidle up next to you with his head touching your thigh.
He is not responsive to cats and can be very timid, so children may not be best. Slash's ideal home is quiet, with an older single person or couple, and perhaps a very relaxed dog friend. Slow, leisurely walks are Slash's style and he's looking for a friend who also likes to take their time to smell the roses.
Slash came to APA as a stray. His waddle-for-a-walk and one tiny snaggletooth give him his distinctive-yet-adorable 'je ne sais quoi.' He has allergies that require daily medications, but he's a champ at taking his medicine (preferably hidden in a hot dog!). Slash is very shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he'll be your little shadow.
This senior guy has seen a lot in his 12 years. He loves his humans, and loves to be loved on, but for only his special people will he do his happy circles and silly crawl. He deserves a safe, calm and loving forever family to dote on him for the rest of his days. Are you looking for a low maintenance cuddle buddy? Slash would love to meet you!
