Hi, I’m Mia. I am looking for a companion, a friend... someone who will love me as much as I love them! My favourite thing to do is be with you, usually in whatever room you’re in - just hanging out. I won’t be too close (so you can still work!), and I’m really good company. I’m also a good listener. I will listen equally to adults and kids, and of course accept pats from everyone! And, as long as I have my space I’m okay with other cats too.

I should also tell you that when I’m relaxing you’ll often find me lying on my back with my paws spread in all directions. It’s really quite comfortable, it will make you smile!
Did I mention that I like to play? I especially like to play with someone who has a wand-type toy.

People tell me that I’m overweight and need to lose some weight so I can clean my own bottom, but until I do (with your help feeding me less and playing with me, please) I hope you don’t mind you wiping my bottom when I need some help (I’ll even purr, promise!). I can’t tell you how excited I get about being brushed - I love it!!

In case you’re wondering about my story - I used to be very loved until my owner got sick and couldn’t take care of me, now I need an awesome family to love me, and one I can love right back! So, if you’re looking for a cat who’s a great companion, doesn’t get in the way, and is very easygoing you should adopt me, Mia!

Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated versus our standard adoption fee of $175.

Our Adoption Process...

Decided on the cat or kitten you would like to adopt? Please call 416-538-8592, or email

An adoption counsellor will return your call and give you more details about the cat you are interested in and ask some questions about your home to make sure the cat will be a "purr-fect" fit. We are happy to answer any questions you may have as well.

You will be supplied with the foster home address to have a meet and greet with your kitty. If both parties are happy, you can sign the TCR Contract of Adoption, pay the adoption fee and take your cat home with you in a safe carrying case.

Adoption fee is $175 per cat. This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. It includes 6 weeks of free pet insurance. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!

1. ALL senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopters choice, vs. our standard adoption fee of $175.

2. Our adoption fee for a bonded pair is $100 per cat, vs. $175 per cat.
