Leah's Story...
Meet Sweet Leah. She is a 6-year-old female Weim. So energetic, enthusiastic and just doggone sweet. She always looks to deeply into your eyes as she listens to your talking to her. You can carry on full conversations with her and are sure at any minute she will answer back. She absolutely needs to be in the thick of things. Right in the middle, never to be left behind! She has never been a problem when left with her foster sister home alone. No destructive tendencies, never needed a crate Being curious, she will try and assist with what you are doing on the counter. Just a nose laying there to see if you need help. A firm no and off she goes, wagging that tail so fast that her whole butt wiggles.

She would do best in a home with no small kids, no cats and no small dogs. Leah would be ok with another big dog in the home, but she has some personal space issues she is working on. She sleeps on her bed at night, but needs a quick cuddle right up beside you on the bed before turning in and upon waking. She will just sit there with those sweet eyes until you invite her up for a cuddle. She loves her car rides and visits to pet stores. Everyone loves to see her and her two Weim foster sisters. They are amazed at how well behaved she is.She also loves her walks. Never pulling or acting up. Just walking calmly but with enthusiasm. Please contact GLWR if you are interested in meeting this sweet girl! She is being fostered in Naperville, IL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leah, a Grand Haven Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Grand Haven, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Grand Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
