Here's what the humans have to say about me:
JOSHUA is a 2.5 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 57 pounds. Joshua was found wandering with another dog. While they enjoyed each other's company, they were not bonded. Joshua is friendly and has an easy going demeanor. He weighs 57 pounds but needs to gain 5-10 pounds. Joshua appears to be house trained as he kept his kennel immaculate at the shelter. Joshua likes to venture out and will figure ways to get out of barriers. He was fine in the strong shelter kennels but managed to push/bend the foster's kennel gate to go play with the other dogs. Then he jumped the 4 foot fence to go meet the neighbors. Joshua is a tall, long-legged boy that **might** be able to get over a 6 foot fence as well so Joshua MUST BE LEASHED WHEN OUTSIDE. Joshua is very good with other dogs. From the transporter: Joshua was a bit uncertain about all the transport "hubbub" but relaxed with a happy, encouraging voice. He is a tall boy with a nice smooth stride and walked well on a leash. Joshua was very sweet and slept soundly in his crate for the ride. Joshua was a stray to the shelter. He is approved for kids 10+.
Update: Joshua is approximately a year old, long legged, black lab male, with white stars on his chest. He is a gentle, docile boy. He needs to add some pounds and is very polite about the process. He is generally quiet except when he sees FedEx prop a Chewy delivery box on the front porch, and he then emits a rather humorous quick big boy bark that seems to catch him by surprise and a bit embarrassed. As he is intrigued by squirrels and can jump a fence, he is romping in our fenced yard on a long lead. He is wonderful on an EZ walk harness. He is a very friendly, sweet boy following foster parents and canine sibs, freely around, bestowing kisses on everyone. Joshua reports to the kitchen door when he needs to go out, and quickly learned routines. He knows few commands and he is eager to please. Joshua steps easily into his bedded crate at night and sleeps quietly. He would make a wonderful best buddy for someone who would like a running companion or exercise mate.
