Here's what the humans have to say about me:
She is a dainty little girl between 2 – 3 years old, weighs about 20 lbs. and is full of energy. She is a little shy at first but warms up very quickly and has a very sweet personality. She has a tri-color face with big, beautiful brown eyes and her body is mostly white and black with a little tan in some places. She is a real beauty.
Jelly Bean gets along very well with the beagle in her foster home and really enjoys her companionship. Jelly Bean has quickly learned the house routine by watching her and likes it when she accompanies her out in the yard whether it is to play, to explore, chase squirrels or just sunbathe. She would flourish in a home with an older, confident dog to teach her behaviors and rules.
Jelly Bean is doing very nicely with housetraining. She sleeps very well in a crate in foster mom’s bedroom at night but she does not like a crate during the daytime. Since she is doing so well with housetraining, she has the run of a large portion of the house when foster mom goes out for short periods of time and we are working up to longer time spans as she gets better.
Jelly Bean enjoys going for walks and rides in the car. She has learned to sit to wait for her meals and also for treats and has learned to be respectful of her housemate at feeding time. She comes when she is called and listens pretty well when she is told no and gets very excited when you tell her she is a good girl.
Jelly Bean is young and still has a lot of puppy in her. She has a lot of energy so her new home would ideally have a secure fenced yard for her to run and play safely. She likes to run full speed around the yard and is very fast. She can entertain herself for a long time with a tennis ball and, her most recent favorite, a whiffle ball and loves squeaky toys.Although she is quiet she would not be good in an apartment because of her energy level. She will need a home where she can get plenty of exercise.
Jelly Bean loves attention. She is a happy little love bug that likes to cuddle and be petted and sit on your lap. She would be a wonderful addition to any family. Please contact Midwest BREW if you’d like to learn more about Jelly Bean
