Salem's Story...

Meet Salem! She was part of an unwanted litter. Luckily the people who owned her mom let us get mom fixed so it wouldn't happen again! Hooray for stopping the cycle!

Salem has been fostered since 8/11/16. She has been with medium and large sized dogs, cats of all personalities and sizes, and preteenagers. Though not small kid-tested, she will probably do great with boundary-respectful kids :) Salem is the most outgoing of the bunch! She is very playful and also super snugly with her people. This pretty little girl will adapt quickly to any INDOOR only home!

She is incredibly sweet--she loves to sit on the couch with her people--but then she will be playing and silly with her kitty siblings--then power napping soon after!. She will TELL you when she wants your attention (which is often!)

She would do GREAT if she was adopted with another kitten,or if you have another playful kitty at home. She would NOT do well as an only
kitty--as she wants affections and atention all the time--if someone isn't home most of the day, she would not be happy.

Adoption donation of $75 or 2 kitties for $125 (because they're BEST in pairs!)

The adoption fee helps cover: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, testing for Feline Leukemia (negative) microchip with lifetime registration, and flea/tick/worm prevention.

This animal is in a foster home with Loving Paws Adoption Center. You may call 573-736-2088 or email at for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Salem, a Crocker Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Crocker, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Crocker.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Crocker already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Crocker breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Crocker paves the way for another one to be saved.
