Meet Bartley, a sweet Lab mix boy with eyes that catch your heart - just look at that face! About two and a half years old and weighing about 60 pounds, Bartley is still a puppy at heart. He loves to lean against you for a massage, takes treats oh-so-gently, and enjoys playing with his next-door neighbor in the private indoor/outdoor kennels where they are boarding. Bartley knows the command to sit and will use it as a default if you have food in your hand. You can stick your hand in his food bowl or take a bone from him with no problem. He loves to fetch, and with encouragement he will release the toy back to you for another toss. His ideal family would be active and adventurous - he'll play fetch with you till he's out of breath, be sure to see his video! He loads up in a car happily and on his own and is always ready to go. Bartley is already neutered, leash trained, crate trained, microchipped, likely house-trained (very courteous in his kennel run), and on preventatives to ward off parasites (including fleas and heartworms). Food- and praise-motivated, he is a wonderful student and eager to learn other skills. All he needs is a family of his own - perhaps yours?

Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
