MARLEY is an approximately 7 year old mini aussie. This guy needs a committed adopter. He has bitten out of fear and would do best in a active home that does not expect him to be a social butterfly. He needs someone who is patient and able to allow him time to get comfortable with them. Once he has accepted you, he is one of the most loyal and dedicated companions you could ever ask for. He LOVES car rides, the water and Herding! He was pretty intent on the idea of herding se agulls and ducks when at the beach- he never got close enough, because he was on watch, but they definitely brought out the prey drive in him. Marley loves running! He would be great at agility. Marley has so many redeeming qualities that if allowed, will shine through to the right owner. He can be integrated with some dogs, but would do best in an only dog home. We believe he would do best with a male owner. He seems more trusting of men and enjoys riding 4 wheelers, being outdoors and he is not a runner. Once bonded, he can be left off leash and will follow you anywhere. He truly is an AMAZING dog!! If interested in him, please fill out an application on our and call 717-248-2902.

About One Dog At A Time (ODAAT)

About Our Rescue Group...

Our Mission at One Dog at a Time, or ODAAT, is to become a not for profit organization dedicated to legally assist animals in need by working in tandem and cooperatively with Dog Wardens, Humane Officers, Local Police, and the State Police; building relationships and solutions with all. ODAAT realizes the problems of neglected and abused animals in Pennsylvania do not have immediate solutions and until state cruelty laws are amended or changed, this group of volunteers will work within the constraints of the Pennsylvania legal system. ODAAT is working with individuals and agencies that are able to enforce Pennsylvania Humane Laws and will assist where and when possible – with resources and training so desperately needed.

Our Adoption Process...

The goal of ODAAT is to place our companion animals in lifetime, loving homes. Every home and every companion animal has it 's own unique personality and requirements. We place our animals in the supportive and loving environment of home foster care. While there, we gain knowledge about their personality, training skills, likes and dislikes.

To assist us with matching the correct companion animal with the most appropriate and compatible home, please fill out our adoption application questions as completely and correctly as possible and any other information you think would be helpful. The application will be followed-up by an ODAAT Adoption Coordinator, with a phone interview and then a home check.

Adoption contract and post adoption follow-up checks are required as a condition of adoption. Some companion animals get multiple applicants or are not appropriate matches, so not all adoptions will be approved. Not all applicants will receive a yes or no response due to limited staff. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption without justification.
Our Adoption Costs vary but below is a guidline:
Dogs: $150-$350
Cats: $50
Kittens: $75

Why the high cost? Can't I adopt an animal for less? No.. and here's why: Our animals come to you fully vetted. It costs us less for medical care then you due to non-profit discount. So if you adopt an animal for less it will cost you more later. Spay & Neutering your animals, along with keeping up on shots prevents disease & illnesses.
