Jodi's Story...
Jodi is a fun-loving, intelligent cat with a gentle disposition. She is long and limber, with a short, sleek coat that requires a minimal amount of grooming and, with little undercoat, does less shedding than many pets. Jodi’s coat is a subtle yet exotic white background with brown tabby markings--Definitely not your typical tabby!

Jodi is extremely people-oriented, doing well with children and people of all ages and types. She would make an ideal companion whether you are a stay-at-home or frequent traveler in search of a travel companion. Jodi is quite bright and easily trained. Her beautiful blue eyes indicate a Siamese background, which is reflected in her athletic build and inquisitive nature.

The vet estimates Jodi’s was born in August 2015. She is still just a kitten in size and is very playful. There are so many positives to this little cat; she has good litter box habits, is not a picky eater, is outgoing and loves to cuddle and sleep on the bed with a person at night. She easily allows her nails to be trimmed. Jodi isn’t found of other cats, and while not aggressive, she is not happy about sharing her love of people with other felines.

Jodi is micro chipped, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/Feline Leukemia.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jodi, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
