Facts about Gentle Joe

  • Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier/Mastiff Mix
  • Color: Brindle - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Meet Joe... he's a 4-5yr old, 65lb super awesome boy! He is clearly a Staffie mix... we believe with some (couch potato) mastiff. He's a beautiful blue brindle with just a bit of white. He's very easy going and loves everyone so no guard dog here! He likes to go for long walks but he's really not interested in running too much... maybe a jog here or there would be ok. He's definitely the guy to hang out with and watch a movie, though! He's very polite and has great house manners, but he does get a bit anxious if he's left alone so he must have another dog in the home (his current bff is Gertie - pictured with him. These two really love each other!) Joe would do best in an easy going home with people that have plenty of time and attention to give. He's a very sweet, affectionate and sensitive boy and will be a wonderful addition to a very lucky family. Joe is currently being fostered in the Seattle area, but his foster parents will be moving soon so by the middle of Sept we need to find him his own, forever home.

About K9 Rescue & Rehabilitation

About Our Rescue Group...

K9 R&R rescues 'Green Mile' dogs from shelters and other various facilities across the nation, but focusing primarily on those throughout the west coast. In addition, we help re-home family pets of owners who can no longer care for them. K9 R&R assesses and works with every dog prior to adopting them out and continues to provide support to adopters for the entire life of the dog. K9 Rescue & Rehab was founded with the desire to provide a more thorough, inclusive, supportive approach to dog rescue and re-homing. When adopting a K9 R&R dog, you are not only adding a new family member, but are becoming part of an extended family that is always there to support you in hard times and celebrate with you in joyful ones.

Our Adoption Process...

Interested adopters should email to request an application. Once complete, the application can be returned via email and quickly reviewed. If approved, we then invite potential adopters to visit with one or more of the dogs that interest them. If the meet and greet goes well, we encourage a week long "trial adoption" to ensure a good match. During that week we communicate often and are available for support and guidance, via phone or email, 24/7.

K9 R&R adoption fees range from $285-$500 and include all vetting and microchip. We also provide ongoing training tips and help as needed, for the life of the dogs.

K9 R&R is a non-profit, volunteer based organization.
