Keegan is approximately a 1.5 year old fun and loving male golden shepherd mix. He is a bit under weight, at 65 pounds, but is a big goofy boy full of personality and very smart. Even though Keegan is big, he is also cuddly and can curl himself up in unbelievalby small spaces just to be near you. Keegan is a great running partner and really enjoys going on walks. He is interested in meeting other dogs but is always so sweet and well behaved. He is friendly toward everyone and great with kids, but he needs a home where all children are 6 or older. Keegan has learned to leave cats alone once they have put him in his place. But, if the cat decides to run, he will chase it in a playful way. Keegan really is one of a kind. He turns heads when he is walking by and people just want to pet him. He loves the attention. Keegan was diagnosed with a light heartworm infection and was recently treated. He is continuing to recover and has a few more weeks of reduced/limited activity. He is fully house trained and will let you know when he needs to go out. He does need some practice to not pull on the leash when walking but he also knows how to walk on the leash well when he wants to. He knows his basic commands and is a good listener but, if you keep food in his reach, he will find a way to get it. It is hard not to fall in love with this boy immediately. He will do best with someone who is active, comfortable with bigger dogs and has a fenced in yard. He seems to enjoy the other dog company in the house and likes to have people around. He will do best living indoors but allowed to have space and time to hang out outside. He is neutered and up-to-date on all his vaccines.
