Beyond the neglect she endured in the past, Tuesday truly is a one of a kind sweetheart. She absolutely loves people, and is very gentle. I took her to the river yesterday, where she waded in the water and even ran around a little bit. She was SO happy to be out of the shelter. She was nervous in the vehicle, but she laid down with her paw resting on my leg and her head in my lap. At the river we encountered several people and children, and Tuesday gently greeted all of them. She is not the type of dog that jumps all over you and knocks you over. She is calm and well behaved, and just wants to be near people. She even followed the kids into the water, when she had previously been afraid to go in very far. She pulls a bit on the leash, but once she gets her initial excitement out she is just fine. Her energy level is PERFECT for most people. She loves going for walks, but she gets tired fairly quickly and is ready to laze around within 30-60 minutes. Tuesday does need a home without cats, but she's been good with all the dogs she has met at the shelter. If you have others we do recommend a meet and greet. Since Tuesday's owners didn't have much to say about her when they dumped her, we do not know for certain if she is housebroken, but she appears to be crate trained, as she is very good in her crate at the shelter.
