Tuesday's Story...
Our Tuesday won't leave you haggard from a long, mundane day at work. In fact, our Tuesday will be just the therapy you need after a long and stressful day! She is a beautiful Bully mix who is a total "people dog." The type of dog to greet you at the door, ready to spend time with you. This gorgeous girl has the best disposition ever, and it is hard to believe that she has been waiting for her forever home since February! That's nearly 6 months of patiently waiting, and believe us, she really has been so patient! Tuesday has been through a lot in her 3yrs of life, but you'd never know it when you meet her. She came to us from a shelter down South, where she had been surrendered with her puppies. Tuesday was emaciated, and not in good condition. Her coat was brittle, and you could see every bone protruding from her body. Despite the poor condition she was kept in, she did an amazing job of raising her puppies, who were all adopted quickly. It was also found that Tuesday had Heartworms, which left untreated, would have killed her. She has since gained weight (a little -too- much), and was treated for Heartworm.

Beyond the neglect she endured in the past, Tuesday truly is a one of a kind sweetheart. She absolutely loves people, and is very gentle. I took her to the river yesterday, where she waded in the water and even ran around a little bit. She was SO happy to be out of the shelter. She was nervous in the vehicle, but she laid down with her paw resting on my leg and her head in my lap. At the river we encountered several people and children, and Tuesday gently greeted all of them. She is not the type of dog that jumps all over you and knocks you over. She is calm and well behaved, and just wants to be near people. She even followed the kids into the water, when she had previously been afraid to go in very far. She pulls a bit on the leash, but once she gets her initial excitement out she is just fine. Her energy level is PERFECT for most people. She loves going for walks, but she gets tired fairly quickly and is ready to laze around within 30-60 minutes. Tuesday does need a home without cats, but she's been good with all the dogs she has met at the shelter. If you have others we do recommend a meet and greet. Since Tuesday's owners didn't have much to say about her when they dumped her, we do not know for certain if she is housebroken, but she appears to be crate trained, as she is very good in her crate at the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tuesday, a Broadway American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Broadway, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Broadway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Broadway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Broadway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Broadway paves the way for another one to be saved.
