Wiley's Story...
My name is Wiley and I am a 5 pound, nine year old chihuahua mix. I came to Wagging Tails because my family could no longer afford to keep me. My foster mom says that I am great with other dogs of all sizes. I love to cuddle everyone I meet- especially kids! I am happiest with company and a lap to lay in, but can be left alone for short periods of time.
I have a little grey around the edges but I'm young at heart. I am playful, fun-loving and like to snuggle. I had a dental cleaning and they pulled most of my teeth, but that hasn't affected me one bit!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wiley, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
