My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Izzy

7 months old

Good with Dogs her size

No Cats

Good with kids

Fostered in Sandpoint, ID

Hi there. My name is Izzy and I'm here to swoon you into adopting me. I'm a young girl who didn't have a great beginning. I was left outside in a crate in the sweltering heat. Every so often, these kids would come out and swing me around by my tail. Because of that, I'm a bit fearful of new people. Can you blame me? I promise though, once I trust you, I'm a great little girl!

I get along great with other dogs if they are my size, but I need to go to a home without cats or livestock. I really like to chase chickens and turkeys so I can't even live on the same property as they do. Cats are way too interesting for me, so to be safe, I want a home without those too. I'm currently in a home with bigger, older dogs though, and everything is going great!  I love to play and would do well in a home with a dog with similar play and energy levels. I'm stubborn, but I'm very smart. At 7 months old, I'm pushing my boundaries, but with a strong leader, I'll learn very quickly about what the rules are.

I, as most puppies, have a short attention span so you have to keep my attention and remind me not to be so aloof. I have made great progress since being in a foster home, but now it's time for me to find my real home! Go to  http://powerofthepaw.org/ adopt/ dog-adoption-application/  to fill out an application to meet me! Power of the Paw will need to also see proof of obedience training enrollment prior to adoption. I am a puppy, and to make sure my adoption is successful, I will need obedience training.

ADOPTION FEE: $200 includes spay, DAPP, Rabies, Bordetella, Microchip, deworm and vet check
