Reggie's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Sacramento- Reggie is a 10 month old Maltipoo that was purchased as a puppy. His owners got rid of him because he got too big (at about 15 pounds). He was never properly socialized, so he meets new people by barking and sounding quite vicious (hasn't bitten anyone) but within a few minutes you are his best friend. He is crate trained and house trained and loves other dogs, lives with cats (but I think he is not trustworthy with chickens) and a kid. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and ready for a home who will work with him to help him get over his insecurity with people and give him the socialization he needs. He is energetic and very affectionate.

You can find our adoption process and apply online at: http://recycledpetsnorcal.org/adoption-process/

Adoption fee: $200

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Reggie, a Sacramento Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
