  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Meet Lulu! Lulu is a 2 year old spayed female pit bull mix. She LOVES to play and is extremely toy motivated. In between play sessions she loves to cuddle up for a good nap with her foster mom. She has minimal training, but is eager to learn. Lulu has had some dominance concerns with other female dogs in the past. She has no history with male dogs. Lulu may do best in a single dog household or one that is willing to be patient and work with her and other dogs. With Lulu's enthusiasm, its best that she be in a home with older children (younger maybe with some training) and preferably no cats (also, may be okay with some training). She is current on vaccinations (rabies, da2pp, bordetella and heartworm prevention), tested negative for heartworms in August 2015, and already has a microchip. She is healthy, happy, and lives life to the fullest. This sweet girl deserves a lifetime full of love and happiness. If you have any questions about Lulu or would like to schedule a time to meet her please contact us here or at Please share her story to help her find her forever family!

About RescuesForJoJo

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all volunteer organization. RescuesForJoJo (RFJ) was founded to help rescue shelter dogs in need. Our group focuses more on the "undesirables" in the shelter; medically fragile, injured, abused, and breed or color specific dogs who would, otherwise, be looked over and euthanized through no fault of their own.

RFJ receives dogs from high kill shelters. We depend solely upon the help of pre-approved fosters.

Before our dogs are approved for placement, they are fostered and vetted. Vetting includes appropriate vaccinations, testing for heartform, spaying or neutering and, sometimes, other surgery. When the dog is ready for placement, applications are reviewed to find the best home for the dog. Transport to the new home can be arranged.

RFJ is always in need of volunteers and foster homes. We welcome the assistance of anyone interested in making a difference in the life of a dog.

The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel. Proverbs 12:10

Our Adoption Process...

All dogs 6 months of age and older are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. All dogs are vaccinated and treated for any infections or other illnesses of which we become aware. Serious medical problems are also treated.

We offer out of town adoptions.

Adoption fees on most animals are $100. If considerable vetting has been needed, the adoption fee may be more depending upon the amount of care needed. Adoption fees are non-refundable.
