Facts about Ladybug

  • Breed: Boxer
  • Color: White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Most of ABR’s rescues are strays or dropped off at kill shelters when a family tires of them. Some are accidentally injured and others grossly neglected, but a few like Ladybug, are intentionally abused. Her scars, damaged ears and initial fear of other dogs tells a tale of being used as a bait dog for dog fighting. And yet, the Boxer spirit wins again! Ladybug is people friendly, child friendly and friendly with other dogs with slow, supportive introductions.

Her luxuriant white coat is speckled with brown and black and one eye has a pretty brown patch. She still has patches of fur worn thin from her life on concrete, but those are healing and filling in. This lovely girl is 2 to 3 years old and heartworm positive, but ABR always helps with treatment, and treatment is not necessarily difficult now. Like all of our Boxers, she is fully vaccinated and spayed.

Ladybug lives in a foster home with 3 to 5 other Boxers depending on the day and once she gets to know them she is very playful outside while calming laying on the couch inside. She is house trained and crate trained. Ladybug needs a family who can make her feel safe and secure knowing they will not allow her to be hurt. She gave humans and even other dogs a second chance; are you ready to be her second chance?
