Facts about Governor

  • Breed: Boxer
  • Color: Brindle
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
This boy, Governor, has a gorgeous light brindle coat, cropped ears, cropped tail and a stately Boxer profile. He was a stray so this 4 year old could gain a pound or two, but not much. He is now healthy and being heartworm positive doesn’t affect him at all. Treatment is simple and straightforward now, and ABR always helps the family with treatment. This guy really is worth your vote.

Governor spent the day at Dogtoberfest with crowds of people, big dogs, small dogs, all kinds of action and never flinched. He met dogs and people graciously and stayed by his foster mom’s side, or in her lap when he could manage it. All 70 pounds of him, with a big grin.

He is house and crate trained and does well on leash. He visits the local dog park and has very good canine manners. He loves to play and snuggle. He knows to tone it down at home and play well with others when it’s time. He is a very well balanced boy. He has done well with the kids he’s met, he is a Boxer after all, but we don’t know what he thinks of cats. He likes to hide toys in the couch, for later just in case. This guy is a rare find; easy going, fun, balanced, big and beautiful. You gotta meet the Governor.
