Hello all – my name is Watson! I am a gorgeous 2.5 year old scruffy boy that is an awesome chocolate color. They think I am a Schnauzer mix and I’m just adorable! I was saved from a high kill shelter in Georgia and I know how lucky I am! I haven’t been out of the shelter long and will be heading to my foster home in NJ very soon. If you wish to adopt me you must be willing to drive to meet me in NJ. My foster mom promises that when I get there and get settled in she will update this bio so you’ll have all the info you need to know about me. But for you, you gotta admit – I’m pretty cute! The shelter said I had been hit by a car because I’m ‘stumbly’ on my back legs, but the x-rays show I don't have any physical damage. The Vet says the signal from my brain isn’t getting all the way to my rear legs so sometimes my back leg gives out but I pick it right back up and when I run I lift my feet a little bit more than most dogs. But let me tell you, that doesn’t slow me down one bit and I’ve been said to be the most curious little dog ever met! The Vet also says my condition will be the same my whole life but there is nothing preventing me to live life to the longest and fullest and that’s exactly what I tend to do now that I’m safe with TLR. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines and completely healthy. Lookout world, here I come!
Update from foster mom 9-15-16:
Watson is by far the HAPPIEST dog I have ever met! He loves all people and is great with his foster siblings, however he is a bit much for my seniors. He is always prancing around with a smile on his face trying to engage anyone in play. He will flop on his back for anyone willing to give belly rubs. He seems to respect the feline of the house (we are only on day 3). He eats like his food might run away so we are using a puzzle bowl to slow him down. He knows sit and listens well. We are working on 'gentle' as he is a bit exuberant taking treats but he is already catching on. Professor Watson is such a character he has us laughing constantly. He is a lover, snuggler, kisser and just a fantastic companion. I am pretty confident he is house broken, and he knows 'go to bed' (crate). If you are looking to add a loving, comical, adorable and smart companion to your family Watson will not disappoint!
