Hey!  Have you met Warren Barkett!????  Warren is the guy that is going to give you the BEST of BOTH WORLDS!  He is ready to  nap with you and then romp with you out in the yard until ya'll are tired enough to nap again! That's our Warren Barkett.

* He is a BIG dude and quite a 'head turner' everytime any of us take him out for a walk!  He is definitely a shelter fave.
He is a mature rottweiler/mastiff mix of about 90 pounds. He's got th
e most gentle soulful eyes you will ever see. He came in as a stray and he was really scared at first.  He's since then, learned that the shelter is his home for now, and he will come up, say hello and take a treat if you have one to offer him.  For some of us, he will let us know he is ready for his walk too! He is pretty great and we love this boy!

*  He is a DREAM on the LEASH!  He's house trained and he's got moves that will put dogs half his age to shame!
You just have to see him to believe it and while you're watching get a load of all the happy wiggles and tail wags that are going on too!

Warren loves to be outside whether he is playing, laying in the sun, shade, he is always ready to hang out.
If you have a home without tiny kids (he's shown us he is a little touch sensitive around his head/back area) and you are looking for an easy going boy to share your life and home with then please stop by Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center at 341 S Birdneck Road. Ask to meet Warren (ID# 1601-0435) at the front and we will bring him out to say hello!
One more thing, we haven't had him out playing with other dogs, but he's been well behaved when being walked around other dogs, so if you have a dog at home please bring them along as well to make sure they want to be friends. Thank you for reading about this charming gent and feel free to share him with all your friends!
