Facts about Jack

  • Breed: Shepherd (Unknown Type) Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Jack is about 7 years old. He is used to being cared for by a variety of people because his owners' travel with work has required that he has friends and dog walkers assist. He is well adjusted but needs to be in an environment where he has a routine.

Jack has been blind for about 8 months which doesn't really slow him down but he prefers to stay in one spot and sleeps much more often. He is OK in environments with other dogs that are his size or smaller, now that he is blind we are not sure he knows the deference.

Jack loves walks and his favorite time of the day is meal time. He can still find his way to where his food is kept and will sit with his head cocked toward the cupboard, waiting patiently. He has an
extremely mild and almost disinterested personality. He has never been one to play but loves his belly rubbed and pretty much any form of human contact. He is a wanderer and absolutely enjoys laying in the sun. He spends the days indoors, and nights and weekends I leave the
kitchen door open so that he can go inside/outside as he pleases.

About Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs. Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
