We have several goats available for adoption of varying breeds and breed mixes (most are Alpine, a few are Nubian and we have one La Mancha cross). Due to poor husbandry in the former home, these goats may have chronic health concerns going forward, even though they have received ample veterinary care while in our possession. It is also possible that some females may be pregnant, though it is too early to tell just yet, but we feel that should not limit them from being available for adoption. To learn more about them, please call the shelter and speak with our adoption agents.
If you own goats, we also recommend discussing their health concerns with your veterinarian prior to adoption. Also, because of the circumstances of how they came to the Animal Rescue League, they have certain restrictions on where they are able to be adopted.
You can reach a representative at our shelter Tuesday through Sunday from 1pm to 6:30pm at 781-326-0729.
