Taffy's Story...
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this pet personally. Meet this pet at the Department of Animal Services, 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad, 92011.

Taffy is a 1.5-year old spayed cream-colored Terrier mix with a super sweet personality. She enjoys car rides and stays quiet looking out the window. She is very affectionate and she is content sitting on your lap while watching the world go around her. She is still learning how to walk on a leash, but does quite well. She seems fine around other dogs and wanted to play with another dog at a recent adoption event. Kids would come up to her, and she enjoyed having them pet her.

Meet this pet at County of San Diego Department of Animal Services, 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad 92011. Open Tuesdays - Saturdays, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm. Closed Sundays, Mondays and holidays. SPECIAL NOTE: The shelters are now open on Sundays from 9:30 am - 5:30 pm on a trial basis from October 23, 2016 through January 22, 2017. For more information, go to http://www.sddac.com .

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taffy, a Vista Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Vista, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
