Max is around 1YO and is ALL PUPPY!  He's around 50lbs and has natural tail and ears.  He's a goofy, loving boy who can't wait to play with you!

:  Great with other dogs!  Loves to play!

CATS:  Would do well with a dog-savvy cat.  He LOVES the smell of kitty butt!

KIDS:  Would be great with kids.

HOUSETRAINED:  He's a champ!

OBEDIENCE TRAINING:  Learning the basics - has great house manners.

CRATE SKILLS:  Fine in his crate.  He's food motivated so he'll run in if you throw in a treat or feed him in his crate.

LEASH SKILLS:  He is VERY strong and outgoing!  He does best on a head collar for walking.

DROOL FACTOR:  Not too much

PERKS & QUIRKS:  Max is a very happy and goofy boy!  He will keep your family laughing with his mannerisms!

HEALTH STATUSI have tested NEGATIVE for heartworm, ehrlichiosis, lyme disease and anaplasmosis.  I am healthy and ready to go

ENERGY LEVEL:  High but has an off button.  He sleeps hard and can play independently if everyone is busy.

About Almost Home Az Boxer Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a private, volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3 organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of unwanted, neglected, and abandoned boxers. We provide food, shelter, medical attention, and TLC during our rescues wait for the "RIGHT" forever home.

All of our dogs are in foster homes throughout the valley - we do not have a shelter that you can visit. Once you submit an application, your references are checked and the home visit is complete, we will contact you to set up a satisfactory meeting place for a get-together with your potential adoptive pet.

Our boxers are cared for in foster homes during this wait. We try to have them in a foster home environment for at least 2 weeks. They are temperament tested to the best of our ability to ensure a perfect match into their new home. Our number one concern is for the safety of the adoptive family and the happiness of the pet. We strive for a FOREVER placement - not all dogs are perfect for all families. We don't want to place "A" dog in your home - we want to place "THE" dog for your family!

We can't save every dog but we can make a dog at a time!

We are desperately seeking foster homes for our wonderful dogs! We also accept used crates or donations of any kind!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please contact us about a specific pet - we do not have a shelter facility. All pets are in foster homes around the state of Arizona.

Our Adoption Process...

We prefer e-mail to cut down on cell phone minute usage! Once an application is submitted, it is reviewed, references are checked, and a home visit is done. If approved, we will contact you about the dog you are interested in. We want to place these dogs with the "RIGHT" families so it may take a bit to find that dog for you, please be patient.
