Facts about Sinbad
Breed: Beagle/Chihuahua Mix
Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Meet Sinbad... His story is a tough one to hear, but in the end, the good news is that he is now safe and will find his perfect forever family through Shelter Hope Pet Shop. Shelter Hope just took in four dogs who survived being shot several times by a man with a rifle. In May a man took his gun and shot at six small dogs. As they ran for their lives, the neighbors took cover. Six dogs ended up at the Riverside Animal Shelter, where one sadly died from his injuries. PCC a clinic in Los Angeles offered to try and save the others if a rescue group would step up and take the dogs for re-homing. Shelter Hope was able to take four survivors. Bullets riddled the back ends of their little bodies. Sinbad has a metal pin holding his thigh to his knee. The man who is considered a person of interest said he did not own the dogs and does not remember what happened. None of the dogs were chipped or fixed and the neighbors believe they belonged to the man that shot them although the police have not been able to gather enough evidence to prosecute. When you meet Sinbad, he is so forgiving and resilient.. he is ready to love and be loved. Just look at that smile!!! Meet Sinbad at Shelter Hope Pet Shop Santa Clarita.
Shelter Hope Pet Shop was created to aid shelter pet adoptions, promote education and bring awareness to the communities we serve. We rely on the community for assistance, donations and volunteers.
We are a non-profit volunteer-based pet shop that showcases shelter animals available for in-store adoption. We find homes for the many shelter and rescue animals in need. All sales of merchandise in our pet shop goes directly back to help save more animals.
