Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is May! I am starting a new chapter in my life. I am 5 years old, so you would think that I would have my for-ever family by now. Instead, I have been living in one of the worst puppy mills in Missouri. When All About Paws first rescued me, I didn’t even want anyone to touch me. I would just hide all the time. When I first came to my foster home, I would not even come out of my crate! My foster mom has shown me that not all people are scary, and that most are even kind and gentle. Even though it’s been scary, my foster mom has shown me new experiences: like living in a home, sitting on the couch, going outside, and walking on a leash. I’m still not completely used to it all, but I really want to keep doing these things and more! I’ve made big leaps in healing from my traumatic past, and my foster mom believes that I will make even more strides when I get adopted by my forever family. Now, I enjoy my foster mom’s pets and I wag my tail and get really excited when she gets home from work. I’m even beginning to learn to walk on leash and follow my human. I potty when I go outside, and inside I’m really good at using a potty pad. I’m slowly learning about family, and I definitely have love for my humans. But I’m still working on a lot of things. I may not be ready to run and jump on your lap for snuggles, come when I’m called, or learn fancy tricks. But I am fully ready to be loved and to love my family back. My personality is starting to show. I am a very low key and relaxed girl. However, I still like to exercise in my backyard on a daily basis. My foster mom says I look beautiful in the sunlight. My coat has an unbelievable shine, and I have a unique, beautiful prancing gait. I need a family with lots of patience, whether it’s one person or more. I would not enjoy sharing a home with children, but I’d be open to having a dog sibling. I get along fine with my foster fur siblings. I need a securely fenced backyard and special spot in my home like a room or open crate where I can go to relax and feel safe when I need to have some me time. May is up to date on all shots, heart worm negative, on heart worm preventative, microchiped, de-wormed, Had a dental, and spayed. May’s adoption fee is $250.00. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS.
