If you live in an apartment or just want a calm, quiet dog but you don't want a tiny little lap dog, Tara is your gal. Believed to be born August of 2015, she is now a full grown boxer mix and weighs around 30 pounds. Tara walks well on a leash, rarely barks, and gets along with other dogs, cats and kids. She's housebroken and isn't destructive when left alone but she will dog holes if left alone outside. Tara is completely crate trained but most of the time is left loose in the house with her foster families other dogs (and 2 lbs kitten) and she has never had an accident. Her favorite place to sleep is on her dog bed cuddled with one of the other family critters. Because Tara and her sister grew up for many months in a shelter before being rescued, it takes quite a while for her warm up and bond with people. She is much more cautious of men than women.

If you have the patience and determination to earn Tara's trust, she will make a great companion for years to come.**************Adoption Events ************************************
