Hedley's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Hedley's Story...
Hedley was found in Linwood, KS. He is the first canine guest at the Leavenworth County Humane Society's temporary shelter/office. He has a big voice but an even bigger heart. He seem to love everyone. He loves to be petted, loves walks and car rides and is great on a leash. He keeps his kennel nice and neat and while he is ok with a kennel, he would rather be out with people. Hedley is a great dog for an active family who knows how to manage a big goofy strong dog. Hedley is guaranteed to make any day much happier!

Pets in LCHS, Inc. care are sterilized, vaccinated and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Standard adoption fee for dogs is $125. Hedley is eligible for the Pets to Patriots program, which provides for reduced adoption fee, reduced cost veterinary care, and other goodies to qualified adopters (veterans and those currently serving in the military).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hedley, a Lansing American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Lansing, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Lansing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lansing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lansing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lansing paves the way for another one to be saved.
