Facts about Ruthy

  • Breed: Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 10461456-Ruthy

Ruthy was found very malnourished as a stray along with her three pups.  Ruthy's and three pups were still nursing, taking the necessary nutrition Ruthy needed to put some weight on. After some care and time Ruthy was able to put on the weight she needed and then a little some. To see Ruthy now with some extra pounds on her from when she came in, she's almost unrecognizable.  After a few months Ruthy's pups were all adopted to good homes.  Now it's Ruthy's turn to find a good home for herself.  Ruthy is a very friendly and sweet girl.  She loves attention and gets along well with anyone she meets- with 2 legs or 4.  Ruthy would do well with just about any loving family.

As of 8/30/16 it's estimated Ruthy is 4-5 years old.  She is current on all her vaccinations- DHLPP, Rabies & Bordetella and she is spayed.  If interested in this love bug please submit an application to www.socorescue.com.

About Southern Comfort Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our rescue is licensed through the State Dept. of Agriculture, with regular inspections being made by them. We are in no way a "puppy mill", rather we take in the stray, abandoned and sick/injured pets and get them back to adoptable status.
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and do accept and survive on donations from adopters and/or the general public.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a facility that has set hours of operations. This is not a problem for our adopters because it allows us to meet them with prospective pets in many locations - most are much closer to where they live. We travel to many places in Georgia so if you see someone you like, let us know and we'll see if we can meet you somewhere relatively close by.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a simple process to follow in adopting an animal from us: fill out an application, wait a few days and pay our fee when everything is approved!
We have a bit more that we do. After reviewing the application we have to check references and with their vet, then we can send the pet to his new home.
