Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sally. Female Basenji and Whippet mix. 27 lbs. 9 months. DOB 12/15. Contact twylasfriends@yahoo.com
Sally is one of the silliest dogs you’ll ever meet! She is full of energy and loves to play with other dogs and humans. Although according to the vet, she shows some signs that she had been abused. She is very shy in front of people at first, it takes her a while to get used to a new room but she doesn’t hold a grudge against humans. She is absolutely adorable and will cuddle with anyone who opens his arms to her.
She loves being around dogs and will play with them all day if permitted. We have two dogs, one of which didn’t welcome Sally at first, but with her insistence and charming personality, Sally has won our dog’s trust and now they get along well and even play together. She has the funniest little smile that she makes when she knows she is in trouble. We haven’t seen her around kids, but we are sure that she would be a great companion for any one with children.
Sally has never been trained before, so she can be a bit distracted at times, but she has surprised us with the things she would do to get a treat. If you can catch her attention, she will respond to commands. Also, she usually follows our dogs when they are instructed to do something, which makes us think that she may do better as part of a pack. She is learning how to be house, crate and leash trained. We believe that she needs someone really patient to get the best out of her. Contact Twylasfriends@yahoo.com
*****If you would like more information about the dog featured above, be sure to send a note to the "Contact Person." This is the person fostering the dog and they will be happy to answer any questions you have. Please don't just show up at Adoption Day expecting every dog to be there. We are limited by the number of volunteers who can help at each Adoption Day.
Also, in sending your note to the Contact Person, be sure to include information about yourself, family, home, yard, fence, other pets, work situation, and pet accommodations. This information will help us make the best match between you and one of our dogs***
