Let me introduce myself. I'm Jude, a loveable, eager-to-please, intelligent male brown/ brindle and white American bulldog mix who was born in 2013. I'm in quite a pickle because I've grown bigger than my owner expected, and she can no longer take care of a dog who weighs 75 pounds. I do great with the older kids and the bichon in my home, but I guess she thought I would stay more of a medium size.
I'm fully trained and know how to walk nicely on a leash, sit, and stay. I'm obedient and listen well to commands. Unfortunately, my owner didn't keep up with my training, so I've gotten a little rusty and need some brushing up, but my personal trainer at the Dog House Pet Salon has promised my adopter a free private lesson!
Usually I do great with the other dogs in day care, but -- true confessions -- I got off lead one day and attacked a small dog. I can't explain why I did this. Nobody can figure it out because I got along great with the Bichon in my home. I am a bit of a nervous nelly and can be anxious and unsure of myself at times. Sometimes those little guys can be so ferocious that it's scary to me! You know, they can really bark up a storm! But I do want you to have all of the facts.
My original dog trainer thinks that I need a lot of structure to help with my anxiety. You know what I mean -- so I can know what to expect because I'm in a routine. I'd do great in a home with just one other dog and a family with older kids.
Won't you please come meet me? If I don't find a home fairly soon, I'm afraid that my owner will walk me across the rainbow bridge, i.e. euthanize me. And all because I just grew too big!!
Jude is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $150, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Jude, and we can arrange for you to meet him.

About Buster's Friends

About Our Rescue Group...

Buster’s Friends, Inc. is a rescue group and non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to helping homeless and abandoned adult dogs and cats as well as puppies and kittens find permanent homes through our network of foster homes. We are not a shelter or facility, and all animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the animal in their residence until it is adopted. This foster care gives them specialized care in a nurturing home environment.
Buster’s Friends was created in memory of Jennifer Fields, who spent countless hours rescuing and fostering hundreds of Houston’s homeless animals prior to losing her battle to cancer in May 2009. As a tribute to Jennifer and her dedication, we named the group after her beloved dog Buster, who made the journey to the Rainbow Bridge in August 2008.
