Facts about Luna
Breed: Coonhound Mix
Color: Black - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn
Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Luna is a 2-3 year old coonie girl that came into Rescue the hard way - with eight 3 day old puppies whelped in a crowded kill shelter. But all of that is behind her and she's ready for her new life to begin. Petite at 42 lbs, Luna has a huge personality. Friendly and social with people, she loves to cuddle with her foster parents and other dogs. She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home, male and female, especially if the other dog will play with her. She is not aggressive with cats, but will pester them and bark. She is a huge fan of antlers and nylabones and collects them in her crate or in front of the window from which she scouts chipmunks in the yard. Luna is crate trained and house trained and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. She caught on quickly to leash walking and now is the first to ask to go for a walk when the leashes come out. Excellent with children, too. Luna is being fostered in Atlanta and will be ready for her new home after the Labor Day holidays.
