Dusty (ADOPTED)'s Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Dusty (ADOPTED)'s Story...
We are currently working with Both Dusty and Diamond to complete all of their vetting prior to their adoption. Both came into sheltie rescue together and they will need to stay together as a bonded pare. Both are three years old and weigh around 19-20 pounds. They seem to be fine with other pups and are very friendly and social. Both have good leash skills and do fine in a crate or X-pen. Both Dusty and Diamond will require a secure fenced in yard for the new home. NO EXCEPTIONS. Dusty and Diamond are being fostered in the Reading, PA area and approved applications would be required to meet them in their foster home for adoption. You can find more about Heart’s Promise Sheltie Rescue and our adoption process at: pasheltierescue.org As of October 1, 2016, we are only taking applications from within the state of PA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dusty (ADOPTED), a New Castle Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in New Castle, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in New Castle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Castle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Castle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Castle paves the way for another one to be saved.
