Kahlia's Story...
Are you looking for a dog that has already been trained and knows all her basic commands? Kahlia might just be your girl. This four and 1/2 year old beauty is dog and cat friendly, does well with kids of all ages and is already house and kennel trained. Kahlia knows sit, down, stay, come and spin. She also LOVES to play ball and will come home with her own "Chuck-it". If Kahlia has one fault it would be she needs to work on her leash skills. With a strong handler she will settle into a heel when she knows you mean business.
Kahlia would love to play ball with you , so stop by the rescue and visit with this gentle lab/border collie mix.

If you want to apply for Kahlia, please visit the rescue and fill out an application. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kahlia, a Meridian Labrador Retriever/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
