Hello there! My name is Sammy, and I am a happy, senior gentleman, and a handsome beagle to boot! Due to my age and some muscle tone issues in my back and hind leg muscles, I'm not very active. But that just means I'm not looking to go on a 5 mile jog -- however I love my people and will happily follow you wherever you go! Short walks in the fresh air are like heaven on earth for me. I love to use my beagle nose!
Other great things about me include: I just love to be petted, I have never turned down a snack, and did I mention that I really love people?! In fact, if you're hanging out in one room I will lay quietly and contentedly close by, enjoying the pleasure of your company and a cozy bed.
Because I am a gentleman, I don't chew or mess up the house. I will tell you when I need to go out but I can't hold my pee for more than 5 or 6 hours during the day. I do sleep soundly all night and wake with big a doggie smile while I stretch and wait for you to say hi to me!
I love to give kisses to everyone, and I even enjoy the company of older, respectful children. Do you have the perfect house for me to retire to? Come meet me and let's find out!
My adoption fee is $150.00 and includes all of my routine vetting, rabies and distemper/parvo vaccinations, FelV/FIV testing (kitties), deworming, spay/neuter surgery, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention, microchip, boarding and transportation costs if applicable, along with a free *trial offer for 30 days of 24PetWatch pet insurance!
*Dependent on meeting eligibility requirements: Dogs 8 weeks to 10 years of age and cats 8 weeks to 12 years of age. This offer is not currently available to residents of CA, PA or RI.
