found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and not good with cats.
Living in his foster home has been like finishing school where he has learned social skills with other pets. He now enjoys playing and romping with other dogs of all sizes, and he knows how to tell other dogs when he has had enough playtime without over-reacting. He likes to sniff and lick cats, but he will bark at them if they run from him. He is mildly curious about pet birds, rats, and guinea pigs but mostly ignores them.
Teddy was adopted from TSCR several years ago and returned when he snapped at the new baby in the home. Because of this history, Teddy should go to an adult-only home. His adoptive family was very reluctant and heartbroken to relinquish him and continues to check on his progress.
Teddy was de-barked in the past. A debarking surgery reduces the intensity and volume of barking but does not prevent barking. He also has strong herding instincts and will nip at your feet as you walk away sometimes. Lawn mowers and bicycle's are things he thinks he should herd as well.
An experienced dog owner would best fit his needs and he in turn will shower you with lots of love and devotion.
He is presently being fostered near Cincinnati, Ohio.
If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application on our website. Our organization is run by volunteers and it is hard for them to answer all the emails that come in about dogs. Once we receive your application, an interviewer will call you and try to answer any additional questions you may have. Our application can be found at http://www.tristatecollierescue.org/ under the adopt tab. Thank you.
