Sarge-smart, social GSD mix's Story...
You just have to meet the coolest GSD-coonhound mix Sarge!! Super sleek and handsome Sarge, with his coolest sable coat and gorgeous eyes- is about 65lbs currently and two years old. Sarge was rescued out of high-kill northern Georgia by a service dog organization. He was dropped off their radar when he tested positive for ehrliciosis, a tick born disease. Our vet says he will likely always test positive but will be fine and lead a total normal life after a month on an antibiotic. RCR is hoping to find an awesome home for him out of the south since the rescue group that pulled this awesome cutie since he is no longer “perfect” on paper. This super sweet and good-looking boy is still very much a puppy! He needs to gain a few pounds and should weigh closer to 70lbs. Adorable Sarge is good on the leash, working on his basic commands and Loves to play with other dogs. He is a bit shy at first but but warms up quickly and he passed all the behavior assessment the earlier group put him through. He is good with kids and a home with another dog and a nice yard to explore would make him the happiest boy EVER! Sarge is smart and would love to attend a training program with you to get everyone on the same “page”. Sarge is house trained and crate trained. He has a desire to please his people and he’ll be your best exercise partner. He is athletic and definitely not a couch potato! He will thrive on your personal attention and true to his breed- he prefers to be with people or dogs! Sarge love the car rides to run errands or camping as he is good-natured and loves companionship of his people and your other pets. Sarge loves his toys, the water and he’s working on fetch. He is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Sarge is a big boy (24 inches at his shoulders) and will be ready to meet you when he arrives in Washington from Georgia on September 10th. For more information contact Pam at raincityrescue@gmail.com. To complete an online application, go to www.raincityrescue@gmail.com. His adoption fee is $400 and we can’t wait to tell you more about this coolest and cutest Shep-hound mix. Your fun and active home could be the best ever for social and smart Sarge!
