PEPPER's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

PEPPER's Story...
Meet Pepper.  Pepper is a 4 year old male Border Collie.  Pepper will need to be placed in an adult only home as an only dog.  Pepper is a dog that is on the go.  He's absolutely fixated on playing Frisbee and fetching the ball.  Pepper is not the type of dog that you can hug around the neck, as he is uncomfortable with it.  He is affectionate in other ways, and is a most loyal K9 companion.  Pepper is housebroken, obedient, quite, and crates well.  If you are looking for an active dog to do some dog sport activities, then Pepper is your dog.

If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please fill out an adoption application.  We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any meet and greets are scheduled.  The electronic application can be found on our website at http://www.bordercolliesinneed.org/border_collie_rescue_and_adoptions/adoption_application.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PEPPER, a San Pedro Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
