They say that "eyes are the windows to the soul."

Fiona's eyes speak volumes. They say "I've been abused.  I've been hurt and neglected, but I still have hope.  Hope that there are still good people in this world who will love me and be kind.  Hope that people won't look at my breed and judge me.  Hope that someone will give me a second chance at a wonderful, new life."

Fiona is a precious 1 year old, 25 lb. pocket Pittie/Shepherd mix who is longing to find her perfect forever home.  She was picked up as a stray in a small, rural city where it appears her previous owners cut off her ears with scissors.  Despite her previous abuse, she is sweet and very affectionate.  Fiona loves to play with dogs of all shapes and sizes, she loves kids, and she ignores cats.  She's a sweet, petite girl who has a heart of gold.

She enjoys walks, car rides, and toys. She is active and would be a great jogging partner!  Fiona is house and crate trained.  She is very smart and learns routines quickly.

Fiona is spayed, micro chipped, and UTD on all vaccinations.

If you're looking to add a new member to your family, please consider Fiona. You can learn more about her here: http://legacyhumanesociety.org/our-dogs/available-dogs/

About Legacy Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

Our Purpose is:

To rescue adoptable dogs and puppies from animal shelters and animal control facilities

To rescue dogs and puppies from abusive and neglectful situations, including puppy mills and "backyard breeders"

To help educate the public on proper animal care and promote spaying and neutering of all pets

To provide medical treatment for animals in our care

To provide foster homes for animals in our care

To place rescued animals in permanent, loving homes

To build and maintain a facility to house rescued animals and host adoptions.

Come Meet Our Pets...

To meet our pets, contact us about any dog/puppy you are interested in and we'll set up a meeting time/date between the adopter and foster home.

Our Adoption Process...

Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be UTD , current on HW prev and S/N. If a home visit is needed we will compele that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fee is $200 for dogs ad $250 for puppies. We spend an average of $300 on each dog/puppy, so the adoption fee helps pay for the vetting for future dogs we bring into the program. Their is a 5 day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family.
